Trails are getting tougher. Expectations of All-Mountain are elevating.
To create the new Sight, we drew on the inspiration we find in the mountains around us, and let it drive innovation that can only come from re-thinking the science behind the design. We skipped evolution, and took a quantum-leap forward with a new All-Mountain ride that borders on re-invention.
Once we’d determined what we wanted to achieve – to build a new Sight with immense descending capability, adept, surefooted climbing and efficient, powerful pedaling – the engineers took over, and created an entirely new way to design a bike.
Starting at the rider, they dug deep into anthropometric research, developed custom software, and unearthed formulas that precisely determine how riders of every build fit on bikes, and how each unique fit affects handling.
The math indicated an ideal weight distribution for each frame and provided a calculable centre of mass within an extended wheelbase – which then allowed the engineers to optimize new Sight geometry and suspension kinematics for every rider on their ideal frame.
The results? Maximized front and rear wheel grip on climbs and descents, stable, flickable high speed handling and a completely new take on All-Mountain that blew away our expectations – and completely shatters the status quo.
It’s the Science of Send.
